Problem with Linux Mint Menu

Postby Sakonim » Wed Apr 16, 2008 7:22 pm

I've encountered a problem with the Linux mint menu. I can't seem to open preference> sessions. There's a "starting sessions" in the task list in the panel after I try to open it but that disappears after a while. Also I don't know if this is related but when I try preferences>sound or keyboard or mouse, I get the kind error message I have attached. I don't get any of those problems if I use the main gnome menu. Has anybody had this problem?

These steps will solve the problem.

- Install the 3.2 version of the mintmenu.
- Use the hosts tweak found in the Wiki.
- In sessions, set up a gnome-sessions-daemon to run at startup.
- Install all of the updates from the Proposed and Backports repositories.
