There is a lag time between when I click to open up a panel drawer vs when it actually drops down. Can that time be adjusted to no hang time?

I'm not quite sure I understand this - a panel drawer? Maybe I meet a limitation in my command of the english language here

Anyway I think most/a lot of panel behavior can be changed in the gconf-editor
