Hi everyone

I've just installed Mint 14 and it looks great, however since installing I can't find .gvfs, I checked it was installed in Synaptic and it says it is, This is important to me as all my files are stored on a network server and I need .gvfs to access them through a file browser, Any help would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Graeme

It's now at: /run/user/your-user-name/gvfs

The good new is it's now not a hidden directory. The bad news is it might as well be since nobody knows where it is now.

Why did they ( and I'm guessing this was done by our Gnome Overlords ) do this? Because they can.

What part screwed it up?

The way it was before: /home/altair/.gvfs/share-name on server-name

The way it is now: /run/user/altair/gvfs/smb-share:server=server-name,share=share-name

Is it the insanity of the smb-share:server=server-name,share=share-name part?
