Preparing Videos for Youtube

Post by laukce01 » Mon Dec 31, 2012 10:23 am

I have a long video that I want to post on Youtube and I need to cut it down into 10 minute segments. What is the best free software to use to do this in Linux?

Probably Kdenlive, although it has a ton of qt dependencies if you aren't running a qt based (KDE) desktop. There are CLI splitters as well, but you haven't indicated your level of ignorance. :)

Openshot and Piviti can do the trick. They're in the software manager.
