When I am going to a certain website, it is giving indications that it needs Adobe Flashplayer to be activated.
But when I go into Mint 13 package manager and search for Adobe Flash, the plugin is NOT installed. If I flag it for installation, one of the subsequent notes says that if I install Adobe Flash that the Linux Mint 13 flashplayer will be uninstalled.
Should I install Adobe Flash player instead of Mint 13 Flash player ?
Thanks.

Re: Adobe flashplayer instead of Mint flash plugin
If you're having issues with the Mint plugin, then by all means, install the Adobe one. They cannot exist simultaneously, so you will have to uninstall the Mint plugin.

Should this be installed from the Mint 13 package manager or directly from the Adobe website ?bigj231 wrote:If you're having issues with the Mint plugin, then by all means, install the Adobe one. They cannot exist simultaneously, so you will have to uninstall the Mint plugin.
If from the Adobe website, will it uninstall the Mint 13 version before it installs the Adobe flash application ?
Thanks.
Re: Adobe flashplayer instead of Mint flash plugin
It's not worth the hassle to install it directly from Adobe's website. just install it from the package manager. The flashplugin-installer package gets it from adobe's website for you.
