Ubuntu One Installation

Post by mehmet7 »

I made a fresh installation from Mint 13 Maya to Mint 14.1 Nadia. As I use Ubuntu One to store and synchronize my files online I had some problems to install Ubuntu One (client+repositories) with the package manager.
Just in case anybody has the same problem, this link
http://www.noobslab.com/2012/11/install ... -mint.html
has just worked fine for me.

It mentions that you can install via terminal command:

Code: Select all

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuone/stable
        sudo apt-get update
        sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-client ubuntuone-control-panel ubuntuone-client-proxy ubuntuone-control-panel-qt
After installation you have to type

Code: Select all

Does anybody know the reason why Ubuntu One does not just install as in the previous versions?

Didn't work for me either. Tried manual install and the Software Center install.

I gave up and went to DropBox which does work.
