Not sure which subforum to use, hope this topic fits in Software & Applications
Got a little annoyance with Mint, that keeps coming back no matter which version I try.
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-******-generic
Warning: No Support for locale: nl_NL.utf8
So far sudo locale-gen --purge --no-archive seems to solve it, but with every Mint version I try, this error keeps coming back, with clean installs.
Can someone explain why?
Not sure if it matters, but the language I'm using is Dutch, the same as in the warning.

Not specific to your language, and it is harmless. See some details here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=111527
Re: Warning: No Support for locale: nl_NL.utf8
Hmm, if this "problem" is already known, then why isn't it being fixed?
Can't "sudo locale-gen --purge --no-archive" be added to a script that runs during/after the Mint installer?

Re: Warning: No Support for locale: nl_NL.utf8
It's a warning; not an error. It's preferred to have locale in an archive instead of as single files, hence running "sudo locale-gen --purge --no-archive" isn't done by default (see manpage for what actually this command does). The workaround for not getting this warning would alter how your system locale files are organized.
