gthum resize "SOLVED"

using gthum I can usually resize photos but after installing LM 15 cinnamon on my pc gthum freezes then closes so I tried on my thinkpad r61 laptop and the computer freezes and has to be rebooted
any ideas or alternative resize options (I used to use nautilus on ubuntu)
everything else upto now is work great

Try GIMP. It can not only resize but export in any format you choose.

thanks for the suggestion to use gimp which I agree is available if a bit of a big program
I have always liked the simple way Gthum does it for me.
out of interest i installed LM15 XFCE on the laptop and Gthum works
to me that means there is still a problem with Gthum working with Ubuntu 13.04 and LM Cinnamon

I'm having no problems using gthumb in Mint 15 Cinnamon ed., I use it to resize all the time

i decided to have another look and changed the new dimensions settings from % to pixel and by eck it works :lol:

thanks for the feed back, it doesnt seem like anyone else fell for this O'Well you live and learn
