installed package, now what??

Postby dwb » Tue Jul 29, 2008 4:56 pm

Package Manager installed successfully the request tracker (RT) helpdesk software on my linuxmint box. However, there is no item placed in my start menu. How can I launch/configure this application? I do see it placed perl scripts in my /usr/bin and /etc/alternatives/ folders. Thanks.

I read
Request Tracker 3.6.1 for Linux - Request Tracker is a web, command-line, and email-based trouble ticketing and bugtracking package.

So you start it from the terminal....
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

When I install a new package and it doesn't show up in the menu right away, I right click on the Elyssa menu and select restart plug-ins (or whatever it is). seems to fix it every time...
