help with update manger removing failed updates

Post by kd7ura » Sun Feb 02, 2014 3:40 pm

hello i run my update manager about once a month, i always get these updates that fail, how do i remove these entries so the update just skips them.
oops, cut and past failed.
any ways i removed a few ppa lines in the synaptic package manager, got rid of a few updates, but the ones i want gone are (mediubuntu) free and non free 64 and i 386 updates that dont seam to be suported any more, is there a file i can go to that has the potential to be edited to drop the update status or # out of the update query.
im running mint 14 cinimon 64. a direct path to the file would be verry helpful im a gui based operator, but have a small knowledge of the terminal will take any help ican get

Can you post the error messages you get. Now we have to guess what your problem is.

You removed the Medibuntu PPA entirely? Medibuntu is no longer maintained and therefore obsolete
