[Solved] Mint Display Manager (MDM) & External Monitor issue

Post by Kendoori »

I'm using MDM on a Thinkpad X230 that is often docked with an external 30" monitor. When booting, MDM presents on only a fraction the screen, not the whole 2560x1600 available. xrandr reports as follows: DP2 connected primary 2560x1600+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 641mm x 401mm

Because I'm never sure whether I will be docked or not, I'm using a script called autorandr as a startup application, which handles the resolution properly once passed login, regardless of whether the laptops LCD (DP1) is displayed.

This is what runs in my startup...

sh /home/kendoori/bin/autorandr --change --default mobile

Is there a way for autorandr to be executed by MDM instead so that I get a full screen login?
