run bash script without pop up window [SOLVED]

Post by Catchpole »

When I run my bash script by double clicking the file (On the desktop) I get a pop up window that asks:

"Do you want to run 'File Name', or display its contents?"
"'File Name' is an executable file"

Four option boxes are included in the window:
"Run in Terminal" "Display" "Cancel" "Run"

How can I run the file without the having the window pop up?
Do I have to specify a path to the directory first?

Configure your file manager preferences. There is probably an option in there how to handle executable text files.
