Seriously, Mint Install is just one of the features that makes LinuxMint easier & more friendly to use. You should try the whole Mint experience. It really IS "Linux (and Ubuntu) done right".

Why remove a needed tool? I'm seriously thinking of just running regular Ubuntu, because I don't like using the terminal any more than I must.

I have used and donated since 3.0 and even encourage friends to use Mint also, and will continue to do so, but it seems they made a mistake by removing needed tools from the Ubuntu package. now you have to go to the terminal to get third party apps.

I hope the System > Administration > Software Sources.menu will be restored in future versions.
I also like the Software Sources application. So I installed it when I saw it wasn't there by default. Simple solution to a simple problem, and it doesn't require any whining.

This is Linux, man. If you don't like using a terminal, you're going to have nothing but problems.
