How can I get it to work I keep getting...


The VirtualBox kernel driver is not accessible to the current user. Make sure that the user has write permissions for /dev/vboxdrv by adding them to the vboxusers groups. You will need to logout for the change to take effect..
VBox status code: -1909 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE).

Is there a better spot for me to post to get some advice, sorry if this is in the wrong section, I am very lost! :oops: :?:

amsue, I just did a fresh install of Linux Mint on my laptop and I installed and set up virtualbox. The following link may help you.

I have used these instructions numerous times. It does have you install an older version of virtualbox but it does have usb support and the instructions were relatively easy.

Thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate it so much! Just incase there is anyone else out there like me (computer illiterate) who happens to have this same problem this is what I did.... in simple steps, LOL

System -> Control Center -> Users and Groups -> Unlock -> Manage Groups -> vboxusers -> Properties -> make sure there is check by name -> Restart computer

Worked for me!
