Just did the update to Firefox 33.0 that came out today and now cannot see any of my passwords and my password manager, Secure Passwords, does not work.
I have changed the Master Password, which worked last time I updated Firefox and lost my password ability, but it isn't working this time.
Where does Firefox store my passwords and how do I fix this dang thing?
I normally use a master password and the password manager, therefore I don't remember the passwords.
Help!!

Re: Firefox 33.0 passwords not available
To determine where your Firefox passwords are stored (the path is different for every user):
On my computer, there is no logins.json, but then I don't use Firefox's password feature.
You might have more success asking on the Firefox forum.
Code: Select all
locate key3.db
locate logins.json

Unable to find anything about fixing this problem, so I reverted back to Firefox 28 and locked it so it would not be updated. All working well again.

Hi, russ53.
Could this have been the real reason? Cf. Bug 1066991 - After automatic upgrade to 32.0.1 all saved logins and passwords are gone due to Remember Passwords 1.1
Cheers,
Karl

Re: (Not Solved) Firefox 33.0 passwords not available
I would bet that was the problem as I have Remember Passwords 1.1 installed in extensions.
I have reverted however and am going to keep it that way for awhile, at least until the burn dies down.
