Reall bad/unlucky video experience

Postby longlivethebestos » Sat Nov 29, 2008 3:53 pm

Since I started using Ubuntu then Linux mint I have noticed some really bad constant flickering in all videos i watch. I think it's the plugins and other things related to that.

I think its something that seriously needs looking into.

Unfortunately you may be right - turn off Compiz and I think video will be OK
Control Center > Appearance > Visual effects > None
I have not had this in my three decent computers, but lots of people report this.
This is an upstream problem with Compiz and not much we can do about it

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
