Why won't LibreOffice Impress save links

Post by commandrix » Wed May 13, 2015 2:31 pm

Okay, right now I'm trying to work on a slideshow that's saved in PowerPoint format (for job reasons) and it won't save links for anything. Is Impress just broken or something?

It's probably worth a shot to upgrade to LibreOffice 4.4. That version is a dramatic improvement over earlier version. It's roadmapped to be included in Linux Mint 17.2 but you can also install it yourself with a few steps now.

Open the program Software Sources from your menu, go to the PPA tab, and add this PPA: ppa:libreoffice/ppa
Click Refresh and afterwards Update Manager should show an upgrade to 4.4.

Tried that, and still no dice. This is getting a little annoying.
