Calender software options for Cinnamon 17.2

Post by KabirGandhiok » Sun Oct 04, 2015 5:39 am

Of all the things I like about the Cinnamon 17.2 desktop, the one thing I really hope they include in the upcoming releases is the option to be able to add events and reminders by clicking on any date in the default calendar. Now that would be a really cool feature, I think it's currently available in the Gnome desktop.

Anyhow, for the time being, can anyone suggest a good calendar software that I could install? I don't use google / gmail so I don't want to install google calender. What I'd like is a calendar software for the system and not a web based application. I looked over at the software centre but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Thunderbird comes with Lightning integrated, Nothing special to do in this case except possibly activating it in the add-on manager.

Rainlendar is installable by a download file.
