Brackets freezing

Post by Responsive »

Yo,

A few days ago Brackets stopped working for me while I was in the middle of programming. I removed my version and downloaded the most recent deb, but it still isnt working.

Basically it starts with a particular folder called "sandbox" open. When I try to change the folder to work on, the entire program freezes. I cant open any files. Then I try closing it and maybe it takes 20 minutes to the program to close.

Any solutions?

I installed Geany because I urgently need to work on web programming. But it isnt as good as Brackets. It doesnt open folers as brackets does, but it does have a terminalin it which is cool.

Any suggestions for a free, open source and easy to install code editor for Linux Mint 17.2?

Brackets is working for me, I'm running the latest version.

Bluefish - HTML, CSS etc (not sure what else it does)
Eclipse - Programming
Linux Mint 19.0 (Cinnamon) 64bit.

OK I will try Bluefish tomorrow.

Eclipse is too "heavy" for web work. I use it for Java and Android, but for JS for some reason it seems very over the top for me. Brackets was perfect before it stopped working.

I used Bluefish. Liked it, now it doesnt work either. Something is wrong.

Hope the next 17.3 update somehow fixes my computer.

Do you get any errors if you run the programmes via the Terminal?

Have you tried removing it from Synaptic Package Manager?

Works slightly better but not enough to use for work.
