Difficulty downloading a package

Postby Faulty Wiring » Thu Jan 29, 2009 2:51 pm

I /think/ this goes here, but the problem is, simply, that I cannot seem to download a specific package that I need to compile something. The package which I'm in need of is the SDL dev kit. I'm hoping someone can help, otherwise I'll have to reinstall Vista... @_@ I tried it as sudo apt-get install sdl-devel, but obviously that isn't it, and searching the package manager didn't clear anything up. I hope to get this cleared up soon... Thanks!

Sounds like it may not be in the default repositories. Check out Ubuntu Brainstorm for more information. There were some folks discussing SDL and Open GL this month. Interesting stuff.
