File manager

Post by siawacsh » Sun Mar 27, 2016 7:15 pm

Does any one know how to switch my file manager to the earlier version. I am using Mint 17.2 and I think the file manager is Nemo. I am not sure what file manager was used on 17.0 but it had a proper menu bar at the top which allowed hidden files to be displayed under the view menu. i realize I can do that using control-h. But much preferred that file manager for other reasons.

Thanks in advance.

This is not a matter of the version of nemo, but of your setting. You have disabled the menu bar. To get it back you have several possibilities:
  • press the alt key
right click the main bar at the top
right click the status bar at the bottom
then activate the menu from the view menu.
