Why kernel 4.4.0-13 has disappeared from mint repositories?[Solved]

Hello again!

One month ago I've installed kernel 4.4.0-13 from mintupdate and still is working w/o problems in one of my MInt installations. Now I notice Mint does not provide such kernel for my other installations (Update Manager>View> Linux kernels..stop with last 4.2 ). Anybody knows why?

It appears that Ubuntu removed it from their servers for some reason and I haven't found the reason yet

I have installed 4.4.0-15 and it works fine as 4.4.0-13 did before. I can still see all 4.4 kernels in mintupdates but maybe because I am using a german mirror server (ftp-stud.hs-esslingen.de)

thats interresting, anybody knows why they decided to remove the 4.4 kernels?

Right-click the menu applet icon in the taskbar, configure, then "open the menu editor", go to Games, then make sure the Steam icon is checked. That should make it visible again.

I haven't found any definitive. Some problems with Virtualbox update and Nvidia drives that didn't have nor kernel.log or dmesg fails. Maybe is only an Ubuntu decision as 4.4 will be the LTS kernel for next Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) now in Final Beta. This is as the only way kernel 4.4. (lts xenial )appears in Synaptic. Go on searching.

btw Ubuntu 16.04 is already at 4.4.0-18 so 4.4.0-13 is a little bit outdated

Thanks George99, I know. Some out-dates are expected from an old rocker (unfashionable to the end)

But it is not the question. If I want to try or recommend someone with problems because of his/her new hardware to update the kernel in the easy and secure way (i.e. mintupdate), I would like to find a new 4.4 kernel (maybe not the latest one) there.

Odd, it shows in my mint update. But then again im on kernel 4.5 vanilla.

I've been running 4.4.0-13 for awhile and had no issues BUT yesterday I was going to try out a version of Linux in VB and my VB will not run

Seems it was a temporary issue, kernel 4.4 packages are back.
