Firefox 3 lockup; CPUs 100%

Postby JohnH » Sun Mar 08, 2009 9:39 pm

Hi there,

Just installed Firefox 3.0.7 from the updates. It locks up when downloading pdf docs. CPUs running at 100%, the fans on my laptop cut in and the whole laptop locks up.

I'm posting this using Epiphany. I will try and get my old version of Firefox up as I can't find it in the repos.

Not sure what the problem is. Could be the (adobe) pdf plugin. Any clues?

If you get too big for your britches, you will be exposed in the end.

Try running Firefox from the Terminal then post the outputs after it freezes.
