LM 18.1 Dropbox icon problem in notification area.

Post by SETHANATH »

Hi,

I am using Dropbox 16.4.29 on my fresh installation of Linux Mint 18.1. However, the Dropbox client keeps disappearing after the reboot. I have to fix it with the command below, every time I reboot my machines.

Code: Select all

$ dropbox stop && DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS="" dropbox start
I hope someone can help.

Thanks.

Hi,

After everyday uses, the problem seems to disappear by itself. My Dropbox is working fine now.

Thank you so much.

Well, lucky you. My Dropbox icon does not show in Mint 18.1, even not after the command you used.
It only appears after

Code: Select all

dropbox stop
sudo dropbox start
BTW my system tray icon QuiteRSS does not show either.

Mysteriously, the icon reappeared the last few days.
Only the QuiteRSS icon is still missing now.
