When I try to update my Mint 17 files I get a message telling me to first load ttf-mscorefonts-installer which i try to do using konsole.
This then brings up the following :
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
Anyone know what I do next ?

Re: Mint 17 updates not working
As said, run
Code: Select all
sudo dpkg --configure -a
Re: Mint 17 updates not working
That works fine but when I run the updates I get a screen which says it is applying changes, configuring ttf-mscorefonts-installer (which is running) with an end-user agreement for Microsoft software. I have left it running for a long time and nothing much happens - I can't stop it so have to reboot system.

In the terminal dialogue concerning ttf-mscorefonts-installer, you need to press the Tab key once, to activate the OK button in the license agreement. Then press Enter and all should be well.
