Amarok spams my logs

I run Amarok on XFCE4 (yes, perhaps not a very common thing to do) on my Linux Mint 18.2

I find my `$HOME/.cache/upstart/startxfce4.log` is filling up with loads and loads of copies of the following line:

Code: Select all

QGLContext::makeCurrent(): Cannot make invalid context current.
but if I shut Amarok off, no more such lines are added.

Please help me to prevent this from happening - either by making the "context" "valid", or by preventing Amarok from logging this specific error, or from trying to make the "context" "current".

I don't use amarok but I searched "linux amarok QGLContext::makeCurrent(): Cannot make invalid context current". Got no amarok specific hits but the ones I did get showed that that message indicates an OpenGL problem.

SInce Amarok is a music player that's a bit confusing to me. Are you using visualizations in Amarok? If so try turning them off.

In any case you should provide more system info. Copy/paste this into the terminal and copy/paste the text output here:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
And you could try the amarok support forum if this issue is really obscure:
