Post the result of

Code: Select all

lsblk -f
and

Code: Select all

cat /etc/fstab
Does Windows also take a long time to boot?
Nope, not near as long a s linux Mint does. Windows boot time is about 30 seconds, Linux is about and I counted yesterday, from the time I pressed enter on Grub to get linux going, to the full usable desktop was 2 minutes 5 seconds.

Swap partition for hibernation : UUID=6d1ed0d2-b428-4fa4-bd5b-7252dd783337
Note you have zero available for swap, and the uuid of your lsblk -f and cat /etc/fstab for swap are different.

This has to be corrected if you want faster boot times and/or suspend and/or using swap for memory.

Code: Select all

gksudo xed /etc/fstab
and change UUID=6d1ed0d2-b428-4fa4-bd5b-7252dd783337 to UUID=2130289c-f9d8-4645-8d8c-2b74410536a7save and reboot.

My computer Start up time has improved, although I have not timed it lately. The reason, this, My Editing Beast Computer, has now only one OS. And that OS is Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon. Windows finally got the boot the middle of August this year, 2017 Do I miss Windows in any way, no I do not. Everything I want or need is in the Linux Mint Universe.
