Firefox 57.0.1 update broke touch screen

Postby Redsandro » Mon Dec 04, 2017 1:18 pm

For the first time in my live, I started to actually use Firefox. With 57.0 the speed appealed to me.

I did have to run the famous env MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1 firefox %u in order to enable touch support, but it worked fine.

Now, not 5 days later, with Firefox 57.0.1, that's no longer working. I don't know if this is broken by Mozilla Firefox or the LinuxMint branded version of Firefox (which I cannot find on github/linuxmint to complain) but this is really a bad mistake. I was contemplating a switch. Now however, obviously, I'm back to Chrome. It just works™.

and the touchpad is working again? Did it quit working ONLY in FF? I can't imagine anything in FF would affect it.
All things go better with Mint. Mint julep, mint jelly, mint gum, candy mints, pillow mints, peppermint, chocolate mints, spearmint,....

What do you mean "working again"?

The touchpad and the touch screen have always worked. The touch screen is still not working as expected in Firefox. It works fine in Chrome.
