Arduino resolve ttyUSB0 USB Serial Device converter now disconnected

Postby Guid00B » Tue Dec 05, 2017 2:22 pm

Hello,
I've spend quite long time searching the web to run Arduino IDE on my LMDE2 desktop. I had an issue to set to serial conexion to the Arduino board, and I couldn't upload any code. After trying many hacks from either arduino.cc or other sources I found this install guide using search key "USB Serial Device converter now disconnected" wich I got from dmesg.
So to make it a short story, it seems that Britty is conflicting with Arduino (Britty is installed by default. Required for braille devices). Simply use whatever package manager you use to uninstall it and Arduino works fine.
LMDE2 Cinnamon 64
Main : Core i3 4330 3.5 GHz
GigaByte GA-H87N Wifi
2x4Go Kingston DDR3
SSD
