[SOLVED] Get rid of Flash Player

Post by sudo apt-get Linux » Wed Feb 07, 2018 4:35 am

Hi all,

How to get rid off Flash Player (ideally in command line, or anything else) ?

A quick review on the forum only provides answers on how to install it or fix issues with it.

This stuff has been a source of insecurity for years, so using a Linux distro with that “Trojan” is a no go. I don't need something to replace it.

Using LM 17.3, Cinnamon, 64 bits.

Thanks.

It's a browser plugin, so you can just uninstall it from the add-on manager of whatever browser you're using. You can also search for 'flash' in the Software Manager or Synaptic and uninstall what is found.

Als je het graag via de terminal doet:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge adobe-flashplugin
Gevolgd door (voor alle zekerheid):

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge flashplugin-installer

There are about 6,000 recorded languages (past and present), not to mention the IT languages, do you speak JAVA ? (or Sumatra  ).
