Radio tray runs from the system tray. It doesn't launch a full window app when you click the launcher- it just adds a radio-tray icon in your system tray. You use it from there.

Hi ten-10,

It has been awhile since I installed and experimented with various radio tray options.

I could not get "Radio Tray Lite" or "RadioTray-NG", or "Gradio" to work in Linux Mint 17.x, but they work in Linux Mint 18.x.

BUT, I did install the standard RadioTray application in Linux Mint 17.x and I do like that users can easily add a station. It did lock up on me when I tried to access one of the default "sky" radio stations that apparently no longer works, I killed the application and restarted it and it worked.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install radiotray python-xdg
"How do you open a bit file?" I do not understand this question?

I will do a video tutorial on "StreamTuner2" as soon as I get a chance. Although it works very well right after installation, it has many other options (including using the radiotray app) that require restarting it after adding them.

Hope this helps ...

StreamTuner2 can search by music genre, country or state, etc...
