Post by tenfoot »

using LMv18.3 Mate.

Received my first MS Publisher file this morning and delighted to reporte that Libre Office Draw opened it without any problem. The icing on the cake was that the file was editable :D

Is editable file a new feature introduced?

I don't really know the answer to that question. Never received a .pub file before.

the principle issue was always that any *.pub files couldn't be opened. . .
- except by Publisher, of course.
now, it seems that they can now be opened by the Draw program.
but, you will still lose most of the pub formatting, when opening any *.pub files in Draw.

at least you will have the bulk of the information in that *.pub file.
