Right-click and menus stop working in Konsole terminal in Linux mint 18 mate edition.

After some period of work in Konsole terminal (15 minutes - one hour) mouse right-click stops working and doesn't open a menu, also left-click on Konsole menus in menu bar doesn't open a drop-down windows.

Workaround: restart Konsole or use keyboard shortcuts for copy/paste (ctrl-shift-c and ctrl-shift-v)

1) Konsole version 15.12.3, Using KDE Frameworks 5.18.0 Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1) The xcb windowing system
2) I am using Linux Mint 18.3 Mate edition but problem exists also in Linux Mint 17.
I tested clean OS install and the bug is there. I also tested installation on different machines, same result.

I opened a bug on launchpad.net https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1742497
but probably it is not related to Ubuntu and somehow realted to Mate/Linux Mint.
It is very annoying and I just don't know how to approach this problem.
So any help would be appreciated.

It's little wonder you're experiencing problems. Konsole is a native KDE application, not a MATE application.

Beat me to it. GTK based apps (the other DEs are GTK based) work fine in KDE usually, the reverse less so.

Well, you shouldn't assign the bug, that's correct. To answer the first part of your question, many applications are well-behaved when installed cross-DE, and some aren't. You have a KDE application that is deeply integrated into KDE so I wouldn't expect it to behave 100%.
