Laravel development in LM 18.2

Hi members, I am using linux mint 18.2 for a year now (continuously). I recently started development on linux, for that I installed xampp 7.2, but I had to install php7.2. then everything was going good till when I needed database.

I usually use artisan for laravel and xampp control panel for launching mysql/phpmyadmin, and it works. yesterday I copied my laravel app from office to home (so I dont had to run composer install and npm install) then ran "php artisan migrate". there was an error saying "could not find driver SQL". Do I need to install mysql separately? then how will I access that mysql? by running separately from terminal??
