Software Manager won't load [SOLVED]

Software Manager (mintinstall) won't load from the menu.

I have tried to reinstall using

Code: Select all

sudo apt install --reinstall mintinstall

Nothing happens when I click on the menu icon.

From the Terminal it works. I type

Code: Select all

mintinstall

and in a shot while the GUI interface is up.

I posted a message in the newbie section but no one gave me an answer.

I would appreciate some help.

Solved it! For some reason, the menu entry had the command

Code: Select all

gksu mintinstall

Got rid of the "gksu" and it worked. How it got there, I will never know!
