Where is alsa-firmware package?

Post by Blindekinder »

Hi,
to use my RME HDSP Multiface, I need alsa-firmware package, which is not in repositories. It used to be in medibuntu repo:
https://community.linuxmint.com/softwar ... a-firmware
I installed alsa-firmware-loader. multiface_firmware_revxx.bin is not present.

According to this page, you need to go this site. Presumably you would then click the download link.

yes, that's what I finally did, compilation from source and I had to make simlink to the firmware...
But still, alsa-firmware should be in repos, . And my RME HDSP Multiface I is now recognized, selectable in sound config, but I experience sync problems: sound lags in the beginning of a soundfile / video (any player), then there are clics. But that's another story...
