Bash Script Command output to notification?

Post by Carl » Wed Mar 21, 2018 11:14 am

Hiya,

I want to put together a small bash script to run the Windscribe VPN before launching another program however not only do I want it to run I want it to output that it has connected via the notifications... how would I get it to output the connection successful text which will display if I manually run the connection command?

if that makes sense?

Thank you in advance.

Ah Solved it, you can just use notify send like this to show the status of the VPN after you have connected.

Code: Select all

notify-send 'VPN Status' "`windscribe status`"
