It's been a long time since I last used my desktop camera in Linux. I would appreciate any advice from this forum on how to check my camera. Thanks very much.

cool and Cosmo,
Thanks for your prompt and helpful response. As a webcam app and tester, Cheese 3.18.1-2 works out perfectly and easily even though luvcview is unavailable in Linux Mint's Synaptic.

There is not the least timely relationship between a signature and a post. Out of this and other reasons signatures are disabled from display here. A system spec belongs to the same place as a question.

bjimh,
Thanks for introducing me to Guvcview. It's comes with many adjustment features and I like it very much. I think cool meant guvcview when he wrote luvcview. Thank you both just the same. It is always good to have more than one tool to use for any job. Cheese is extremely easy to use.
