[SOLVED] Osmo does not retain preferences after restart

Post by Ozo » Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:51 am

I deselect Monday as first day of the week and it is then Sunday but after a restart the first day reverts to Monday. It is Osmo version 0.2.14.

Code: Select all

System: Host: Bott990 Kernel: 4.13.0-38-generic x86_64 (64 bit gcc: 5.4.0)
Desktop: Cinnamon 3.6.7 (Gtk 3.18.9-1ubuntu3.3) dm: lightdm
           Distro: Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia

I cannot help you regarding Osmo, but the symptoms are the same as in case of wrong ownership of files, so do this investigation:
Mark the following command and press ctrl-c

Code: Select all

find $HOME ! -user $USER -type f
open a terminal and press ctrl-shift-V
Mark the complete result inclusive the command with the mouse and press ctrl-shift-C
In the forum click the Code-button (looks like </>) above the text edit box, than press ctrl-v.

Report in case, that there is no output.

Do you say, that the output is empty? This would be strange in LM 18.x.

But in this case the problem must be Osmo specific, where I cannot help.

Please ignore these 3 lines of code as I am merely storing them here for future use.

Code: Select all

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xenlism/wildfire/master/INSTALL/online.install)

Code: Select all

gsettings set org.gnome.gnome-screenshot auto-save-directory 'file:///home/user/Downloads'

Code: Select all

I am not using Osmo now but am using the panel calendar. The calendar in the Menu (photo) is what I was looking for and I am surprised that none mentioned that. Still, I just wanted a simple calendar to show the days.
