I need a file manager with tree view and... [SOLVED]

Post by linx255 » Tue Apr 24, 2018 2:18 am

Hi,

I'm in need of a file manager ( preferrably one that's not a DOS-like text-only GUI ) which lists the directory structure on the left as an expandable and collapsible tree view. Ideally it would have 'expand all' and 'collapse all' options on right-click context menus, which would apply to the directory right-clicked.

Didn't find any in the repository or googling and I don't think I've even seen one since I used Windows some 10-20 years ago.

Thanks

Check out xfe. It is in the repositories.
Xfe is based on the popular but discontinued X Win Commander. It is
desktop independent and is written using the C++ Fox Toolkit. Its
appearance is similar to the Windows file-manager Total Commander
or Windows Explorer. It is very fast and simple.
source: Synaptic
Mark the directory in the left pane --> Panel --> Expand tree/Collapse tree
I suppose that's one of the ironies of life, doing the wrong thing at the right moment -C.C.
