have you rebooted the desktop?

try Ctl-Alt-Backspace

also so others can benefit from knowing what system you have,
please open Terminal and enter inxi -Fszxd

and post the results back here inside the code marks </> after you click on that logo above the editor

Tried running from terminal no change.

Should I uninstall Firejail?

What is the terminal command to uninstall?

Hello, gto52.

Seems that you have missed the relevant thread, Firefox 60.0 and Firejail.

If I understand the thread right, in particular pages 2 & 3, then updating Firejail to version 0.9.54 should solve the issue with Firefox 60.

[added]
On page 2 of the same thread a workaround for older Firejail versions is mentioned. Worth a try.

Start FF from a terminal without any addons:

Code: Select all

firefox -safe-mode
Please edit your original post title to include [SOLVED] if/when it is solved!

I had the same issue so I removed Firejail. To remove it:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge firejail
I'm just going to give up on Firejail for now. In the past, I also had an issue with my sound. Pjotr had a thread on this, and I tried to install the latest version of Firejail, but it would not install. Said I did not have root privileges. So the easiest solution is to remove firejail.

Page 2 is the discussion by Pjotr.

I tried the Firejail fixes, and as I mentioned, I ended up with a mess, and Timeshifted back to before Firejail.

I won't ever try it again.

I had the same problem yesterday. I uninstalled Firejail but that did nothing. I had to turn off hardware acceleration, then it worked.
