Using BackInTime for migrating Mint applications.

Post by deepakdeshp »

Hello,
Is it possible to backup the installed applications like Eclipse, Pycharm, gcc-7 etc using BIT?My system is Mint 18.3 Cinnamon.
Is it possible to restore the backed up applications in step 1 to Mint 19 Cinnamon
I would like to import all the load too.
Thanks all in anticipation.

I don't think BackInTime is the best way for migrating.

I'd suggest using Aptik, which is perfect for such a task. You can select what you want to backup and migrate and has 3 levels of the user interface.

+1 for Aptik for this use case.
