SOLVED descriptive text colors in gnome-terminal

Post by sadhu » Tue May 22, 2018 11:42 pm

I've been using the green-on-black terminal screen. for some time. Somehow the descriptive colors have disappeared, so I no longer get different colors for directories, executables, etc.

My home directory got scrambled, but I've been able to re-create it, and the color setup seems to have disappeared around this time.

How to I set (or reset) the colors?

Thanks

Try Profile Preferences accessed from the terminals 'Edit' menu.

Found the answer: I changed the.bashrc file.

After restoring the old one, the colors came back.
