I have installed Memory-Map viewer via WINE on my Sony Vaio laptop (running Mint 18.3), however I cannot sign into my Memory-Map account or activate my purchased maps as I cannot access the internet from this program. The tech support team at Memory-Map do not support their software running under Linux, but say it could be the security software/system or firewall.
What can I do to get access to the internet via this program running under Wine? Thanks......

Re: Internet access via WINE
Can you access the internet with any other wine program?
Here's the wine "app database" for Memory Map:

Yes, I can access the internet using wine internet explorer... I don't use WINE much, mostly native Linux software. This is one of the very few Wndows programs I want to run!!
I have looked up Wine app database with your link. Workarounds for Memory-map V6.14 are not explained sufficiently for me to put them into operation.

But it does have a gold rating and licence management is reported to work under WINE.What works
General mapping properties, GPS import/export, map overlay features, 3D display
What does not
Installation requires workarounds

Re: Internet access via WINE
That's in Debian 9, which you aren't using. Tried the Wine forums?
