Make Libre-Office Writer to only incrice text with 1 pont ( or 2, 3 4,)

Post by Jørn Rudolph » Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:27 am

LibreOffice Writer :

Is it possible to change the Font sites with : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,89 and so on - Difference ...

Do you know what I mean ?

Not from 36 points to 48 points - But from 36 to 37, 38, 39 and so on ...

How can I I do that ?

If it is possible ...

so, from what I've worked out, the ability to swap to a Linear Font Size,
which is what you are requiring, & over from the Logarithmic Font Size,
from which the L.O. is currently using, - doesn't seem to be possible, without hacking the L.O. itself.

Can you double click on the font size and just type the size you want?

Yes, I do know what you mean and I would like that too. It comes in useful when doing a four-page bulletin and you want to fill the page with the available text, but not overflow the text onto another page.

If I find a way, I'll post it.

He could, but view my previous post to Jørn as to maybe the reason why he might want that feature.

Jørn,

I think one of the ways to do want you want would be with a user-defined macro, one for increase, one for decrease and then assign the macro to a key combination (such as Alt- for increase, Alt-)

Unfortunately, I don't know how to write code for macros. Basically the code would be taking the current font size of the selected text and increasing/decreasing by 1 point.

If someone here does, that would be great.
