Hi Bilol,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Linux Mint and its excellent forum!
It would help to know more about your system setup. If you run "inxi -Fxzd" and "lsusb" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.

Hi Bilol,
You are welcome from all of us that replied...
You installed a 32-bit version of Linux Mint Cinnamon when you should have installed a 64-bit version of Linux Mint because your computer's CPU is 64-bit. I recommend you install a 64-bit version now after you have backed up anything you want to keep from the current installation.

Afterward, for security and other reasons, you might also consider updating the Linux Kernel to a newer one through the Mint Update Manager. You will have to reinstall any software you added including "Oracle's Java 8 runtime" and then "Matlab".System: Host: bilol-HP Kernel: 4.10.0-38-generic i686 (32 bit gcc: 5.4.0)
