hi,
I wanted to add templates to the right click > New Document menu.
according to Google there should be a folder in home called 'Templates'.
it wasn't there, so I created it and put empty documents like "New PHP.php" (I have a couple more, like new OpenOffice Document.doc etc)
nothing changed, so I tried reinstalling nemo, still nothing.
if I go to Go > Templates it just opens my Home folder.
I have restarted and still nothing.
does someone know what I could do?

Re: Nemo templates not working
Hi!
same for me. I probably deleted "Modèles" folder since I never use it, but now I want to use the context menu to create LibreOffice files.
What doe's have the original folder special, or where should we mention it to be recognized?

You've been a bad boythere should be a folder in home called 'Templates'.
it wasn't there
Delete the 'Templates' that you created.
Type this in a terminal:
Code: Select all
gedit ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs
Code: Select all
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/Templates"
