Desktop Going To Sleep??

WHY is my desktop constantly going to sleep when I have everything pertaining to this SHUT OFF??

Mint 19 Cinnamon
Dell OptiPlex 760

Is the computer really sleeping or is it just the display going dark with inactivity,
such as watching a movie?
If you're certain the Screensaver and Power Management settings are correct then
this may be a symptom of 'Display Power Management System' (dmps) employed in
monitors that are Energy Star compliant.

Try this:
In a terminal enter:

Code: Select all

xset s off
enter.
then:

Code: Select all

xset -dpms

Oh yah... sorry... the monitor dims and have to enter password to get back in. It does it like every 10 minutes and is frustrating.

This does not sound like dpms but rather Screensaver/Settings tab.
Try making the top box say 'Never' and the lower two boxes unchecked
