[SOLVED] Which version of Master PDF Editor 5 to install for LM17?

Hi!
I am in need to install Master PDF Editor 5, but I don't know the version compatible to my LM17 64bit. I check that I have installed the qt4 and no a single qt5 (Synaptic Pkg Mngr) What would be the steps to install the Master PDF5? I would very much appreciate the help.

Once you have it downloaded this one. right-click on the file and choose to "open with Gdebi Package Installer". It will report any errors along the way, and if additional files are needed, and if it has access to them in the repositories, it will help you install them.

Thanks for the prompt response. I did not want to bother again. I tried to find answers to the following with no avail. I did as told: download and right click with Gdebi Package and installer. The installer prompted me to install Lintian, which I was provided the code to do so, but I am having trouble with this one:

Error:
Dependency is not satisfiable: libqt5svg5 (>=5.4,1)

I checked the Synaptic Package Manager, and I have 5.2.1-1 listed (not installed) How do I update the qt5 as requested bye the Package Installer?

And by doing a google search it seems 5.2.1 is the last available for Mint 17 (ubu 16.04) . . looks like it is only available (qt5 > 5.4.1) for Mint 18 and 19.

With another google search, I cannot find Master PDF Editor 5 istallation anywhere for Mint 17 . . Compiling from the source code is the only option . . and I can't help you there, sorry!

Thanks! I will update my LM 17 later this year. Question, how about a Master PDF Editor compatible for my box? if there is one, can you help me find it and install it?

Well, now that I found their official website, I see a 32bit version of master-pdf-editor-5.0.36_i386.deb that would work on Mint 17 . .

"Requirements: Qt 4.6.2 or later"

Great! My LM17 is a 64bit, is it ok to get the 32bit? and if so, I will follow the same steps provided on the previous reply?
