Using LinuxMint v19.0 Mate.
My email client of choice is MessengerPro which is a available for RiscOS, Windows, Mac, and Linux. The Linux version is downloaded as a .deb file and is easily installed using gDebi. I have been using this program and its predecessor since 1985, without any problems.
However, I cannot install any Ubuntu or Debian based versions as the developer, Mark Sawle has not yet issued a version for Ubuntu v18.04. I have sent an email to the mailing list but still await a response.
Trying to install the version for Ubuntu v16.04 (or any other version for a Debian based distribution) results in the error: "Dependency is not satisfied: libdouble-conversion1". Checking I find that that is not in the Repositories but "libdouble-conversionb2.01-4ubuntu" is.
As a temporary solution, is it possible to have two versions of libdouble-conversion installed, without any conflict?

Developer has advised a build for Ubuntu v18.04 will be available soon.
